Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Nursery Production Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks in our production area, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our plant farm. This role involves repetitive lifting and manual labor, so physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy loads are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform repetitive lifting of up to 55 lbs.
- Assist with planting, watering, and maintaining plants.
- Prepare plants for shipping.
- Load and unload trucks with plant deliveries.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 lbs repeatedly throughout the workday.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, seasonal position with potential for overtime during peak seasons.
- Work is performed primarily outdoors and in greenhouses, requiring exposure to varying weather conditions.
- Physical stamina and strength are crucial for this role.
